This Krishna Raas Leela Pattachitra ArtĀ is oneĀ of the most ancient forms of art work found in Odisha. The subjects or the outer panels of Krishna painting are filled with theĀ stories from the life of Krishna which illustrate his various miracles, and the central panel depicts the image of Radha Krishna in an embrace which is a Hindu mythological tale.Ā The Krishna Leela art involves a distinctive combination of Indian classical, and folk art elements but leans towards a folk style in the larger sense andĀ the pattas were traditionally used as personal home shrines thatās why the central icons are always larger.Ā Ā Flowers and leaf patterns enhance wall decor and are universal rudiments used to give a more artistic appeal to the artwork.
