Raja Ravi Varma was an Indian painter and artist who is recognized as one of India's best painters. Varma is famed for his magnificent paintings, which are based on the Puranas and the Mahabharata and Ramayana, two classic Indian epics. His religious portrayals of Hindu deities, as well as works from Indian epic poetry and Puranas, have garnered widespread appreciation.
